Beijing, 25th of August—Today, PIAGET unveiled its new watch the Piaget Polo S at a grand launch party in Beijing. The party was held on a rooftop garden with contemporary urban settings and a superb panorama view over Beijing’s night skyline, which is a perfect location for the Piaget Polo S launch.

Joined by Mr. Dimitri Gouten, President of Piaget Asia Pacific, Ms. Marguerite Sam, Managing Director of Piaget China and Hu Ge, a Friend of the Brand as well as VIP guests and media friends, Piaget was set out to bring the most extraordinary experience and celebrate the launch of its Game Changing watch, the Piaget Polo S– a watch created for a new generation, and in the spirit of every Game Changer, who dares to break the conventions and rewrites the rules.

Handsomely dressed to match his new Piaget Polo S watch, the Friend of the Brand and Game Changer Chinese superstar Hu Ge showed up at the party to celebrate this game changing moment. Despite life challenges, Hu Ge has never given up and always continues to fight not to accept the fate to become today not only a great actor but a model of courage and tenacity. In his ten years’ acting career, he played leading roles in many well-liked Chinese TV series and films, he owns powerful skills on acting and he has received national wide recognition for his acting.

Being a Game Changer, Hu Ge has, unquestionably, proved in life and through his career that he truly embodies the spirit and ethos of this unique watch. “To challenge myself and to change my mindset that is what I always want to be doing, and what I try to live up to every day. Piaget also introduced its 360° virtual reality polo experience – where guests are invited to experience this elegant and daring sport during the party. Piaget also created an interactive shadow photo opportunity where guests could discover a different side of themselves and witness themselves as game changers. Guests could transform themselves into different shadow images, and be cheered on to express their newfound inner spirit. By harnessing the courage to rewrite the rules, anyone can be a game changer.

Most importantly, guests got to try on the new Piaget Polo S and experience its assertive style for themselves. The Piaget Polo S features an ingenious shape-within-shape motif, a distinctive hallmark of Piaget, with a cushion-shaped face presented in iconic Piaget blue fitted within a round 42mm case. Designed and manufactured exclusively by Piaget, its renowned 1110P automatic movement discreetly displays its beauty through a sapphire case-back. A bracelet of meticulously hand-assembled links, alternating between polished and satin finishes, binds the watch together, completing the experience. The result is a watch that—whether it is by day or by night, at work or at play—speaks to and for a new generation of game changers.
